Where a business’s details go
The owner confirms hours, services, prices, service area, photos and booking rules once. Evnie then publishes and sends those details through every channel below, and updates them whenever the owner saves a change.
| Channel | What it is | Who reads it | Plan |
|---|---|---|---|
| Public profile page | A page at https://getevnie.com/b/<business> with schema.org LocalBusiness data, photos, prices and a dated “details confirmed” line. | Search engines, AI crawlers and people | All plans |
| Town and type pages | Listings by town and kind of business at https://getevnie.com/near, alphabetical and never ranked by payment. | Search engines, AI crawlers and people | All plans |
| Search engine updates | Every new or changed page goes into the sitemap and is submitted through IndexNow, the instant-update protocol used by Bing and other search engines. | Search engines | All plans |
| AI-readable index | A plain-text index of every published business at /llms.txt. | AI tools that read llms.txt | All plans |
| MCP server | A live connection at https://getevnie.com/mcp that AI apps can call to search businesses, read details, check open times, request bookings and start orders. | AI apps that support MCP, such as Claude connectors and ChatGPT apps | All plans |
| REST API | The same data as JSON, described at /openapi.json. | Developers and other platforms | All plans |
| Google Business Profile sync | The owner connects their Google listing once, and Evnie sends the confirmed details to it, automatically after each change if they choose. | Google Search and Maps | Growth ($80/mo) and up |
| Guided fixes everywhere else | The footprint scan finds the other sites that list the business, shows which details are wrong or missing, and links straight to where each one is edited. | Directories and review sites | Growth ($80/mo) and up |
What Evnie checks
Publishing isn’t enough on its own, so Evnie measures what assistants really say.
- AI checks. Evnie asks ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity, through their official APIs, the questions a customer would ask (“best florist near me open Sunday”) and records whether the business was named and whether its details were right. Free: 1 a month. Starter: automatic weekly checks. Growth: weekly, plus 30 on demand a month. Pro: automatic daily checks.
- Footprint scan (Growth and up). Runs several web searches, opens the pages it finds, and compares each listing field by field with the owner’s confirmed details. The result is a score and a list of fixes.
- Before-and-after report (Growth and up). A shareable page showing how a business’s AI results changed over time. Owners choose whether to share it.
- Freshness. Every profile shows the date the owner last confirmed it, so assistants and customers can see how current it is. Evnie reminds owners when their details haven’t been confirmed in 60 days.
- Blackhawk (Growth and up). Brings a business’s own sales, spending, reviews and bookings from apps it links (Square, Stripe, Shopify, Clover, QuickBooks, Google reviews, spreadsheets, Zapier or Make) together with its Evnie results, answers questions about them, and flags changes. This data stays private to the business and is never shared or licensed.
- Results. Owners see the people, bookings and paid orders AI assistants brought them, by assistant, and get a monthly summary.
Booking and orders through AI assistants
When a business turns them on, assistants connected to Evnie can check real open times, request bookings, and start orders for products the business sells.
- The assistant confirms the details with the customer before anything is sent.
- Bookings follow the business’s own rules: opening hours, how much notice it needs, how far ahead people can book, and whether each booking needs the owner’s approval.
- Payments go to the business’s own Stripe or Square account. Evnie never holds customer money. Evnie’s fee per online order depends on the plan: Free 5%, Starter 3%, Growth 1%, Pro 0.5%.
What we don’t promise
- No guaranteed recommendations. AI assistants choose what to recommend. Evnie gives them accurate details and shows you the results, but no one can honestly guarantee a placement.
- No paid ranking. Town pages are alphabetical. Nobody can pay Evnie to appear higher.
- No affiliation. Evnie isn’t affiliated with or endorsed by OpenAI, Google, Anthropic, Microsoft or Perplexity. Their names are used here only to describe what Evnie checks and connects to.
- No made-up details. Profiles show what the owner confirmed. If something isn’t confirmed, Evnie leaves it out instead of guessing.
How Evnie differs from other tools
Businesses usually piece this together from several kinds of tools. Evnie puts the parts a small local business needs in one place.
Listing managers
Push a business’s name, address and phone to many directories. Evnie syncs Google directly and guides the rest, and also publishes the full details assistants need: services, prices and open times.
AI visibility trackers
Measure how often a brand appears in AI answers, usually for larger companies. Evnie runs those checks for one local business and turns the results into specific fixes.
Booking and ordering apps
Take bookings and orders on a website. Evnie lets AI assistants do it too, using the business’s own rules and payment account.
Questions
Does Evnie only publish profiles, or does it also send business details to other platforms?
Both. Each business gets a public profile page with schema.org structured data, and Evnie also pushes those details out: new and changed pages are submitted to search engines through IndexNow, AI apps can query Evnie directly through its MCP server and REST API, and on Growth and Pro a business can connect its Google Business Profile so Evnie keeps that listing in sync. For other sites, Evnie shows the owner exactly what is wrong and where to fix it.
Does Evnie monitor how AI assistants describe a business?
Yes. Evnie asks ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity, through their official APIs, the kinds of questions a customer would ask, then records whether the business was mentioned and whether the hours, prices and other details matched what the owner confirmed. Free includes one check a month, Starter and Growth add automatic weekly checks, and Pro checks daily.
Can Evnie guarantee that ChatGPT or another assistant will recommend my business?
No, and nobody honestly can. AI assistants decide for themselves what to recommend. Evnie makes accurate, owner-confirmed details easy for them to find and use, shows you what they currently say, and tells you what to fix. Evnie is not affiliated with OpenAI, Google, Anthropic or Perplexity.
Can customers book or order through an AI assistant?
Yes, where the business has turned it on. Assistants connected to Evnie can check open times, request bookings and start orders. The assistant confirms the details with the customer first, and payments go through the business’s own Stripe or Square account. Evnie never holds customer money.
Who runs Evnie?
Evnie is run by FINTechNC in North Carolina. The owner is Austin Foster. You can reach the team at [email protected].
What data does Evnie collect?
The business details owners enter, and the booking and order details customers share, so Evnie can provide the service: publishing profiles, passing bookings and orders to the business, and running checks. The privacy policy explains it in full.
